Cathie’s Corner Cluster 5, 6 from Virtual Quilter

In this project file i am playing with light, medium and dark shades of purple on a white background. he purple could be any other colour, providing they have the contrast in the same places. The lightest of the colour is used in the corners of every block to create a repeat design when the blocks are put together.

With a slight modification the corners become a frame around the medium and dark versions of the colour, as shown in the second design. The second design is my favourite of these two.

Cathie’s Corner Cluster 1, 2 from Virtual Quilter

A new set of blocks, a background fabric and light, medium and dark contrast fabrics. The corner of the blocks will be kept in the lightest contrast fabric, with the rest of the design in either the dark or medium fabrics.

The corner pieces in all the blocks are identical and meet to create a sort of corner block. Interesting!

But what if … I add sashing?

Mmm! I think I like it with sashing! Early days with project file, and I look forward to playing with these blocks.
